Visha Devan International (“VDI”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through vishadevan.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and, where applicable, comparable international data-protection laws.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, name, and phone number when you create an account. Order details: shipping addresses, items purchased, and payment receipts you upload for verification. Concierge conversations: messages you send to our chat assistant, stored so our team can assist you and improve service. Technical data: cookies that keep you signed in, remember your cart, and your preferred display currency.
How we use it
To fulfil and deliver your orders, verify bank-transfer and QR payments, send transactional email (order confirmations, payment confirmation, shipping updates), respond to enquiries, and operate the boutique. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Virtual fitting (try-on)
Our virtual fitting feature lets you preview how an outfit may look on you. When you upload a photo or capture one with your camera, it is used only to generate a single preview image and is never stored on our servers— your photo is held in memory for that one request and discarded immediately afterwards. We do not save, reuse, or sell your photo. To create the preview, your photo and the product image are sent to our virtual try-on AI provider, which processes them only to generate your preview and does not use them to train its models. If you try the fitting on more than one product, your photo may be kept temporarily in your own browser sessionso you do not have to upload it again — this stays on your device only, never on our servers, and is cleared when you close your browser tab. The result is shown only to you, and you may download it if you wish. Virtual fitting is available only when you are signed in, and you must give consent before a photo is processed.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the store: our hosting and database providers (Vercel, Supabase), our email provider (Resend), our shipping partner (EasyParcel and its courier network, who receive your delivery name, address, and phone number to deliver your parcel), our AI assistant provider (Anthropic) for concierge chat replies, and our virtual try-on AI provider (OpenAI), which receives your photo only transiently to render the fitting preview. Each processes data only on our instructions.
Cookies
We use strictly functional cookies: session authentication, your shopping cart, your display-currency preference, and your concierge conversation. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Retention & security
Order records are kept as long as required for accounting and warranty purposes. Payment receipts are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket visible only to our verification team. Virtual fitting photos are never stored. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent to processing. Contact us via the contact page or WhatsApp and we will respond within a reasonable period as required by the PDPA.
